Well, seeing that helicopter proved too much. How could I possible resist flying back from Milford Sound to Queenstown, especially as the weather had cleared sufficiently and there were the numbers for the flight with a minimum of four required. So I joined the flight with young people and off we went.
At times it felt as though we were going to hit the mountain, but of course swerved just in time!
We were lucky enough to be able to land, just for a short time, but still!!! Who is the one in the red coat giving a strange sort of wave??!!
I was wearing a thermal, a long -sleeved shirt, a thick vest, a woolly jumper and my red coat. No wonder I look a little tubby!!
Wow, the views were spectacular. Imagine this in winter with full snow!!
And back to Queenstown!!
And for those of you who don't want to go in a helicopter, perhaps a trip up in the Sky lift will suffice!!
Oh Lesley! These are wonderful! I imagine it must be fun to ride in a helicopter over such magnificient mountains! Perhaps I would give it a try just to see this. Did your husband go with you?

Yes, it was beautiful and so exhilarating. No, Michael didn't go with me. There is no way he would go up in a helicopter!! I took these with my P and S by the way.
