Well, I have recently returned from my first trip to New Zealand. What a fabulous and beautiful country!! Driving around allowed us to see quite a lot of the country in the two weeks that we had visiting the South Island firstly. These photos show some of the beauty that was to be found around every twist and turn of the road and there were many!!In the first photo I am standing at the top of the Queenstown skylift. I can only imagine the beauty of these mountains in the winter with full snow coverage.
Most of my countryside photos were taken from a moving car as with my husband driving , stops weren't an option, and also we weren't able to stop due to the roads etc. Anyway, if we had stopped everytime I had wanted to take a photo, we would still be doing the first 20 kilometres of our 3000 kilometre trip!! This photo was taken travelling from Dunedin to Queenstown.
Again, travelling towards Queenstown. I , of course , was in raptures with the snow topped mountains.
This is Lake Wanaka. It was an extremely windy day and there were actual waves breaking on the shore of the lake. Still, an extremely pretty place.

Oh Wow is all I can say! You look beautiful against those mountains.
ReplyDeleteI can see your 7D is really giving you beautiful photos! The one with the white lattice work took my breath away! So BEautiful and the colors and sharpness of that tree, just Wow! Did you add color to the bottom one or are these the true colors? Just amazing. Wish I had gone on that trip! If these are from the car window imagine what they would have been out of the car! I'm always amazed at some of the images you can get from the front windsheild!
The bottom one is how it downloaded with me just tweaking the exposure a bit I think. It also amazed me, but then this whole area and its beauty amazed me. The fourth one is a bridge. Michael was the photographer of me. With the first one a young man started laughing at me getting mad with Michael who firstly didn't even appear to have the camera pointed anywhere near me. Lucky it's a good camera.
