Some More Flowers

I've  been having fun with my macro lens again . The first photo is a Bangkok Rose which I have growing in a pot and the second, although pretty, grows on a plant that I am actually trying to eradicate as it is classified a nuisance plant/weed and it certainly is, because it grows profusely and if left alone will eventually and quite quickly take over everything in the yard, grass and all. I have seen it growing on the foreshore of the beach recently which is a worry because it will take over the natural beach grasses.

  1. OK, one of my photography friends has corrected my identification of the Bangkok Rose as a "Desert Rose" and she is quite right!! I checked out the yellow flower in a "weed" book and it is a Singapore Daisy.

  2. I love them and wouldn't have known the difference. The Singapore daisy is really a beautiful composition.
